Linda Costa

Linda Costa has been involved in olives since birth, albeit unknowingly. On the day she was born, her father could not visit her mother as he was so busy planting olive trees!
Only many years later did Linda get back into the industry, and has never looked back. Her background in Chemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology and finally Microbiology serves her well in her present-day pursuits. She is a consultant in many areas olive-related, presents workshops and courses in table olive processing and olive oil appreciation. She serves on the South African Organoleptic Panel and thereby is often asked to judge oils and olives in competitions.

Linda has recently moved onto a small holding which has been named "Awakening". Her dream is to increase awareness of the richness of now, to honour each person she comes into contact with, to honour the knowing that each and everyone of us has something special (strength) to offer. Collectively these will move humankind forward.
On a more grounded note, the first olive trees have just been planted (August 2008) on Awakening and the first new leaves are eagerly awaited.
